Snow.

Tignes.
A snowy, lovely, lively place.
It was my first time there.
Second time skiing.

After the second day. I may have tripped. While intoxicated. Down a step.
This ruined my left foot. It still hurts today. After 2 months.
No more skiing for me.
Not that you can call what I was doing 'Skiing'.
Sliding down the piste on my ass is more like it.

Out of action. On my own.
I did the only things I ever want to do.
Sit. Snap. Smoke. Sip.
I managed to catch the end of the X games.
Jumpers.
Insane people.
Stunning to watch.

Being surrounded by mountains and being unable to really get into them was frustrating. The rest of the trip coming back telling me about the fun they had been having on some far off mountain. Returning to me, sat drinking in the bar at the lifts. Waiting like a puppy to hear some tales.
Needless to say too, that taking pictures of mountains covered in snow did get very repetitive.
Still beautiful though.

Above is my favourite shot of the trip.
Skier unawares.
Getting ready to face the red.
It was the last day. Two hours before we were meant to leave. Check out of our stay. Make our way home.
So, naturally we decided to get the train up the mountain for lunch instead.
It was lovely to have a different view.
Mulled wine in one hand. Camera in the other.

It made me sad that I had missed so much.
Not fit enough for skiing. To join my companions on their snowy jaunts across peaks.

Honestly. I was glad to come home.
Everyone was sad.
Sad to leave the snow and the fun.
I was just ready to leave.
Ready for my next adventure.

LDN.

A small stroll into London.
The country bumpkin that I am.
Touristing.
Camera stuck to my face.

Except one day.
Nothing.
Free of lenses.
I hated it.

I fell in love with London by night.
We drank wine on Trafalgar Square.
We reminisced about old times.
Old friends from different lifetimes joining together.
Loves in the lights.

We danced.
We jived.
We enjoyed our youth.
To the fullest extent, for two whole glorious days.

Odds and bobs.

A few pretties for the pupils.
Mostly March.
The month things started happening.

Rollin'.

After my beautiful stints abroad.
Cold and Sun.
It has all flopped.
Slowed down almost to a stop.
Trying to keep the pace up. Get things moving. Things with my photography.
It's a start. Exciting things could, will, happen.

I am excited too. To be outside again.
My skin is tired of florescent lighting. My legs are tied of sitting still.
My mind is rotting away. Lack of creative stimulation.
My soul is caving in. Bit by bit.

I do not want to sit still.
I need to be moving.
I need to go. On the go. Go go go.

Photos have been had. Developed. Passed around and looked at.
My feedback is getting better and better.
I am less eager to put them all on here. Or there.
With some help, my website will be coming together. Soon.
Online portfolio.
Online Shop.
Bookings.
Clients.
IT IS ALL JUST A DREAM.
But it's not.

Things are rolling.
Slowly but surely.

Let's Tree.

Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.
Busy. Busy. Busy.

First there was Falmouth.
Then there was France.
Then there was Mexico.
Then there was infatuations.
Then there were ruined opportunities.

Neglect is all I see on my lovely little blog.
I will be updating it and you this week.
I have the time.
No plans.
No distractions.

I have taken lots of pretty films for your retinas to enjoy.
My little travels were rewarding to me in the way of images.
Not so much on my ankle. Or my bank balance. Or my sanity.
I will tell you more.
Worry not.

News:
I mean to make a real go out of my photography.
A missed opportunity this weekend was but a blip.
The marvelous bastard that is British weather, playing with my dreams.
Never mind. Never mind.
Anyway. I need a website. New equipment. Some funds.
I have a few plans.
Many, MANY lists.
Bits of paper flying all round my room. Hiding in my bag.
More being made in my head.

It's all good and exciting.
I just need a good kick start.
A little help.
And a bit of cheek.
And i'll be off.

You will see some pretties soon.

Shake like a leaf.

A small one.
Busy busy busy bees.
I have not had time. Because I am using all spare moments.
The only time I have to sit and do nothing is when plans are cancelled.
Luckily they are never major ones.

Touch wood.

Managed, I did, to get to Falmouth.
It was a Lush. Chilled. Heavy.
Beautiful weekend.
It did not satisfy any cravings for the place though.
I would still like to go back and have more.
More beats. Boats. Sand in toes. Clogged lungs. Sun rise sleeping.
A life I miss.
Perhaps one I should have made the most of, while I had it all the time.

It does not stop now.
Next weekend I hit the slopes.
Sliding on small strips of wood. Down a mountain. With one hours previous experience.
It can only go wrong. And I cannot wait.
I am set with new gear. Including a very kindly lent Go Pro Hero 2 camera.
Not that there will be many extreme shots.
Maybe just a few of friends. My feet. And the avalanche.
The one that I will undoubtedly cause.

IT STILL DOES NOT STOP AFTER THE SNOW.

Mexico.
I'm coming back to you.
You with your beautiful sun. Sand. Blue waves. Mayan leftovers.
A resort holiday. I will live it to the full.
Quality time with the Family. Me and the brother zipping down 2mile zip-lines.
Lenses at the ready.
Again.
I am too excited.

This weekend.
I will have a small update of photographs.
Developed. And waiting to be scanned. Uploaded. Shared to your eyes.
Soon, soon.

Several more days of workings. Office workings. Boring workings.
Temporary necessity.
Listening to songs.
Enjoying sunny commutes.
Windows down.
Flumes and plumes a flyin'.

THEN.
I can have some weeks of fun.

It's just what to do afterwards.
I will find something.
Something I love.

I'm sure.
