Weekend at Home.

Frome Town, here I come.

I can Rest.

If I were to apply for a visa I would be rejected. My work has taken the prints from my fingers and the complete control of my right arm. I ache, there has been blood, pain, tears, and so much stress but it is finally over. I have made a series of rings that I am relatively happy with and they have given me actual motivation to carry on with the designing. Perhaps...
There is one week for me to blast out the sketchbook work. Printing, cutting, sticking. Many forced doodles. And to write up a report of the year. Easy.

Now I can have my hands back.

Final Rings.

There are a couple more. I was ordered to make another knuckleduster by my tutor. Goodbye nice hands for another week.

My love.

My Love.
My Book.
My Pen.

I simply wanted more because you looked the other way...

Sunday 22 May 2011

We baked.

I had an urge to bake. So did Chloë. So we did. I made some Cupcakes and Chloë made some brownies. The cupcakes are vanilla sponge, with lemon buttercream, and blueberries on top.

It really is lovely when they come out exactly as you hoped. They taste lovely too.

I'm still at Uni.

I'm still at Uni at 7:55pm. I'm not doing anything particularly interesting or productive. I'm drinking my new favourite soft drink. I'm doodling in my book.

I'm rediscovering my interest for words with-in words. What a stupid interest.

Rings.

Sunday 15 May 2011

Counting.

  1. Week until freedom.
  2. Weeks until familiarity.
  3. Weeks until a visiting party.
  4. Weeks until Glastonbury.
  5. Weeks until the rest of my life.

  1. A week tomorrow and all my 3D uni work must be finished, otherwise i will not be receiving a degree. It is possible. 9am-9pm days every day this week.
  2. On the 27th I am going home for the bank holiday to start moving the awkward stuff out of the Blue house to free up some space when it comes to really moving out. While i'm at home, it would be nice to be able to see some faces and have a nice night or two.
  3. The Garden Party is on the 4th of June, and I am quite excited for it. The last big event held by the student union, and last year it was absolutely amazing. This year, Steve and Phil should be coming down. But only if Steve surprises us all and doesn't live up to his name of Stephan 'Let-Down' Emery. Phil has his ticket all booked so he can drag steve down if needs be. It will be awesome to have some people from home down at uni just as I'll be saying Good Bye to the place.
  4. On the 17th it is my private view for the degree show. My parents are coming down to see my work, and i don't want to let them down. The next day I am driving myself and Chloë back to Somerset then to Bristol. Two/three days after that I am heading to Glastonbury with Alex. It will just be sweet to get away and have nothing to think about for a good week.
  5. After Glastonbury there will be a big rush. I need to come down to falmouth to pick up my uni work. Go home, and sort my life out. Finding a Job being the number one task when i get back home. I'm going to follow up for Flyer magazine. If that comes to nothing then it's hunting for anything I can get. Within reason.
It's going to be a good couple of months. If not good, then at least they will be eventful.

FishEye Lens Ring.

I may have dropped the lens. It may have cracked. It is ok though, i quite like it. It is really quite comfortable given its size.
This was so hard to make, to get the correct curve for the framing of the lens. My arm aches from so much sawing and filing to get it right.
I am reletively happy with the result, and it looks quite bizarre when worn.

Today at Uni.

Cherry? No, Coke.

Found this.

Also, my camera/memory card/card reader isn't working. For a reason unknown to me. It is very frustrating as it has ruined half the nice pictures I have taken lately.

Saturday 7 May 2011

Not much has changed...

Age 21.
Age 16.
Same room. Same mirror. Same camera. Same me.
The only real change is the length of my hair and the lack of things on the wall. Oh, and i'm using a different lens on the camera.
